Description: This circa 1870s-1880s sword cane looks like a fairly unassuming walking stick with a horn handle carved in the shape of a horse's hoof. The horn handle measures 4-1/2 x 3-1/2 inches. It tops a 2-1/8-inch hand chased silver collar, a butternut shaft that tapers from 1 inch in thickness to 3/4 inches, and a 3/4 inch metal tip. The blade is 19-1/2 inches in length. Overall length of this sword cane is 38-1/2 inches.
