Description: This is a powerful 1/4th plate Daguerreotype of a gentleman in his 70's housed in a beautiful 5 1/2 x 6 1/2 thermoplastic frame. I placed Gutta Percha in the title for all of you whom still believe these frames and cases are made of that subtance. By the looks of this gentleman he likely fought in the Reveloutionary War. We know for certain he lived during that time. The image is crystal clear with perfect tonality and hue.
