Description:
A 6th plate measures 3.25" x 2.75" without the case. The dag here shows a young lady with 2 kiss curls framing a lovely heart-shaped face. Dark almond eyes face the photographer with confidence & slight curiosity. She wears a calico dress and fine jewelry including what appears to be a chatelaine. The resealed image is housed in a marvelous full leather case with an expertly repaired hinge. The 2 little catches are missing. There is no retainer, it came to me that way. The dag fits snugly. I can see no flaws other than a few tiny specks of dust trapped under the glass. A thin band of colorful oxidation hugs the mat which I was unable to render in my scans. The definition of the dark dress & hair vs the dark background could be better but is perfectly acceptable...Please enlarge my photos for a closer look....To view MORE PHOTOGRAPHS incl.
