Description: An Impressive Complete Set of English Georgian Solid Steel Fire Tools, late Eighteenth, early Nineteenth Century. The shovel has an elaborate fret cut cartouche to its centre and is held in place by hand formed steel rivets to its blunt arrow form buttress. The tongs are centred via a deep turned bullseye pivot joint. Poker is finished off with a tapered and squared off prodder. All three tools have deep and strongly turned handles which are topped off with line engraved urns and each have an acorn nut finial end. Height: (overall as shown) 24.25âe? (61.5cm).
