Description:
This 1950's era spun aluminum chandelier looks like it could come right from the offices of Sterling Cooper on Mad Men. It was made by the Litecraft Mfg Corp and has four hourglass up/down can lights, the gracefully smaller upper tapers having a pierced design, letting the light peek out. The four up/down cans will accommodate 8 bulbs. The ceiling cap is on a swivel so it can be installed on a sloped ceiling if desired. The fixture measures 33 inches tall and is 27 inches wide on the diagonal. Each can is 14 inches tall and the shaft coming from the ceiling is 24 inches. The condition is very good. It is vintage so it has some scuffs that could probably be polished out and a couple of shallow dents, the most serious shown in photo 6. As with any original fixture from the 50's it is suggested that it be checked by a competent electrician before use. The shaft from the ceiling will be dissembled so that the fixture can fit into a smaller box to save on your shipping costs. If you do a google image search for aluminum chandelier you will see a similar example being offered for sale for $5,800! Combined shipping is always available at Bungalow BILL!
