Description:
May 1934 issue of Arts and Decoration Magazine give you a peek at various embassies in Washington, D.C. Design and decoration credits are given as well as interesting info. The countries represented are the following:Britain, Italy, Mexico,Japan,Spain.
There is a 14 page spread on weekend or guest homes. Floor plans are given for some. The types of small homes include the following: Japanese style home in California,California beach house, a home on the Danube, a weekend house near Brunn in Czechoslovakia,short-time home in Darien,Conn.,small gate house in Greenwich,and one in Southampton. The magazine as a whole is in ok condition, but there are smudgy areas on the cover and minor flawed spots. For example, the one on the back cover where it looks like it got stuck on something and scraped off. Some water must have touched the inside top pages because they are a little raised and stained.Someone wrote ok in red pencil on the cover.
