Description: Oil on canvas, unframed. Signed lower right: "Roland". Inscribed in ink canvas stretcher verso: "Roland de Thonon". Label attached to stretcher verso: "Roland de Thonon from Scranton, PA. Illinois Painter". Dimensions: Canvas: 36 x 24in. Weight: 1lb. 14oz. (Box J) Condition: Surface of the work is slightly dirty. Stretcher marks visible canvas recto. A number of minor nicks/wear to surface paint throughout, particularly along all four edges, most likely due to frame abrasion. A few small areas of light staining scattered throughout surface paint. Otherwise, good condition overall with no evidence of inpainting when examined under u.v. light. Artist's Biography:
