Description: 2004 National Security Agency Ornament - NSA - in a lovely red velvet lined red foil presentation box. This goldtone and painted ornament features a replica of NSA's Memorial Wall which honors Agency civilians and military who have died in service to the nation. The triangular wall contains a representation of the names of these heros along with the NSA seal and the words "They Served in Silence" which indicates that these employees served their country unable to let the world or even their families know about the cryptologic activities for which they made the ultimate sacrifice. The triangle hangs freely from a circular ring and can turn with the slightest movement. The ring bears the words "Peace on Earth" at the top and "Through Vigilance" at the bottom. There is also a small rectangle with the year, 2004, hanging from the ribbon. In the picture it is hanging over the top of the ring blocking some of the letters of "Peace on Earth." The back of this ornament has "Season's Greetings" in green at the top of the ring and a red and green wreath encircling "2004" which is engraved in the brass. (Pix # 3 shows the back, but it is hard to see the detail and color. The dimensions given above are for the box. The ornament itself is 3 " x 3.5".
