This 19th C. market or gathering basket measures 21" long, 12" wide and 8 1/4" tall not including the handles. It is in good condition for it's age. I find one split in each handle, one is mild, neither go all the way through and one break in one corner splint, on the top splint that goes around the basket on the opposite corner there is a piece off the top of the splint that goes around the corner. The construction of the basket is very close to a longaberger. It is a wonderful old basket from the early-mid 1800's.
