Description: This fine 19th century portrait oil on board is initialed in red paint in the lower left corner, and features a lovely ornate giltwood frame with carved berries and leaves design. Board measures 11" x 13" and frame measures 18" x 20" x 3". Depicted is a seated lady wearing a red dress with white lace, peering toward the horizon. Could be of American or european origin.
