Description: This is a fabulous Napoleon III style and period burled walnut kneehole desk. It has a fabulous high back with a gracefully carved gallery. The top center of the desk is a cubbyhole with a large drawer above and three drawers on either side for a total of seven drawers on the top. The center drawer is divided into three sections. The kneehole section of the desk consists of three upper drawers (one large center and two smaller sides) and two lower compartments. The wood on the desk is beautiful and the pieces wears its age gracefully. There is a crack across the bottom of the cubbyhole, but the desk is sturdy and very usable. A very nice piece of office or home.
