Two beautiful pieces of 19th century chinese jade, a bird embellished pierced work plaque and a belt hook of classic dragon shape are joined by elegant chinese silver mounts to form of all things a hand mirror.. . Gumps of San Francisco was famous in the 1920's for re using orientalia to make new objects the resulting hybreds more 'USEFUL '. The good news is they were doing this at a time when there was a huge amount of fabulous materail availble .....So a hand mirror incorporating some truely grand jade, a case of the parts being greater than the whole . The original bevalled mirror with some aging to the silver backing outherwise perfect condition........9 1/2 x3 1/2 please check out other items in my store
