Description: This is a massive and handsome Bookcase made from a beautiful walnut during the reign of Napoleon III. This impressive piece is topped by a boldly sculpted flat molded cornice highlighted by an upper frieze centering an heraldic shield upon the step-front façade featuring 3 glass doors with recessed panels below revealing a large storage compartment with 5 adjustable shelves. The pediment offers additional storage with 3 drawers mounted with their original bronze handles. Note that the glasses are not original and were replaced at some point. Circa date 1860. Dimensions 106”high/ 86 ½” wide/ 24” deep.
