Description: A rare and very large day bed made from solid walnut by the end of the reign of Louis Philippe. This elegantly simple piece is lovely embellished with parquetry medallions depicting acanthus patterns on the simply scrolled side panels and rails. This piece was commonly placed in the middle of a room. Circa date 1840. Mattress Frame 58”wide/ 75”long.
