Description: Splendid 19th century French dore and patina spelter and marble mantle clock with the Paris foundry mark a white enamel dial, Roman numeral hour designations, moon form hands, the case depicts a scholarly cherub sitting on books with paper and pen in hand in deep contemplation beside a compass and astral globe finial, the marble base raised on four bronze toupee feet, chimes on the half hour and hour, keeps great time and would make a charming gift or addition to any fine collection.

SIZE: 11 1/2" length x 4 1/2" width x 12 1/2" Height.
CONDITION: Some crazing to the enamel dial, a small chip the glass dial cover near 3 o'clock and near 11 o'clock, these are normal wear cosmetic issues, overall this charming clock is in very good working condition.
