1985 "Playmate" Doll This is the authentic "Playmate" Doll. This doll was made by Playments Toys Inc., which owned the registered trademark. The doll is 25" long. The width of the body is 9". All the clothing (dress, apron shoes, socks and hair ribbons) are orginal. The body is made of textile material and contains a recorder that is still in working order with the orginal tape containing recorded speaking and singing voices. This recorder has push buttons for operating the recorder. Markings: The back neck of the doll is the embossed "1985 Playmates 9250" Textile labels on the doll and clothing denotes Playments Toys Inc., trademark registration and construction materials. Condition: Pristine, the textile clothing and body is not soiled, damaged or torn. The plastic face, arms, hands, legs, feet are also, in pristine condition. (Exception: A small gray spot is on the back of each plastic leg which is covered by the sock. Probable dye from storage paper.)
