Description: This lot is an original 20th Century Fox lobby card set for the 1979 release of the Bette Midler film THE ROSE, from which the song "The Rose" was taken. Originally started as a biographical film about Janis Joplin, the film morphed into the story of a charismatic Joplin-like singer who is known as "The Rose." Alan Bates is also in the film along with Frederic Forrest. These are excellent condition cards with some great shots from the film. This authentic set of lobby display cards dates from the original release of this film. MovieArt will sell NO reproductions, only authentic film memorabilia.
