Description: 1969 DODGE SCAT PACK SIGN The slogan "Win on Sunday and sell on Monday" began in the 1960's with the introduction of the muscle car. It's important to remember that not all sales were made at the drag strip, the automotive dealerships still had the upper hand on bringing in the customer and convincing them to roll out the pavement-pounding super car. Dodge pulled out all the stops to help entice young drivers to stop into their dealerships and went into a marketing frenzy. Dodge dealers received signs, banners, cardboard cutouts and gave away memorabilia to help increase sales. Many of these signs, although unique and interesting, have not stood the test of time. The ones that did, usually find themselves in the hands of major collectors who can afford to spend enormous sums of money on original dealership memorabilia. One of the most memorable of these dealership lights is the Dodge Scat Pack Bee itself. This sign was introduced in the fall of 1968 for the 1969 model year. The sign, which is the quintessential logo for the Dodge Muscle Car, is the Super Bee with the telltale helmet spinning wheels on its back. The sign using the famous bee really represented any of the scat pack line that year. The Dodge Scat Pack lineup for 1969 consisted of the following: Charger, Super Bee, Demon and Coronet. "THE CARS WITH THE BUMBLE BEE STRIPES". These cars were given a unique stripe around the tail panel warning any unsuspecting motorist that these bees were ready to sting! This sign is lit with four light bulbs causing hot spots you can clearly see in the picture. It has the original cardboard backing and chain to hang on a wall in your garage, basement, bar or media room. The dimensions of this sign are 54 inches Long, 34 inches High and 8 inches Deep. The front of the sign is plastic. The Condition is Very Good. As seen on the photo, one spot near the tail shows the effect of using the wrong bulb. Some very slight discoloration due to age, but still in remarkable condition and very eye catching, a great conversation piece. Due to the size and fragility of this item, the buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements, including packaging. Shipping options to consider include Crate & Freight, Personal Pick-up, or making arrangements for someone to come and personally package the item and ship it to its destination.
