1951 Smart Vintage Mid-Century Ad- Pick a Pendleton Plaid 49'er Swagger Jacket for Perfect Autumn Style Ted Rand Artwork. Fantastic Original Color Vintage Mid-Century Ad taken from the pages of a September, 1951 issue of Mademoiselle Magazine. Aimed at a stylishly chic yet decidedly middle-class reader, Mademoiselle offered clothing with flair fun and functional such as this wonderful Pendleton Swagger Coat- shorter sharp lines slight peplum and done in gorgeous autumnal colors in their infamous plaids. Artist Ted Rand gives this look flair and femininity by tossing the jaunty jacket onto a red head and placing it near a tree with leaves rustling in the wind- note smaller image of jacket worn open in green with paler shaded pencil skirt. Ad measures 10 x 12 and is in good clean condition overall- lovely example of the semi-casual sporty look of Mid-Century America! Will be fantastic on display with any decor!
