Incredible from both color and design perspective this Rare Original Vintage Ad uses a combination of humor, history and pure salesmanship to launch the new look for 1951- the Arrow Bali Cay Island Print sports shirt. Taken from an issue of Life Magazine, this ad is bold and colorful and full of the zeal and appeal of the Marvelous Mid-Century- at the top a "sportsman" from 1912 compares notes with his modern counterpart- both wear the latest in Arrow Shirts though Mr.'51 sports a cool oh-so-hip short sleeved yellow shirt with swaying palm trees one of six fantastic designs which pay homage to the relaxed and exotic world of Hawaii and the Pacific Islands- the culture of which becaame fascinating and fashionable after the end of WW2. Ad measures 11 x 15- condition is bright and sharp overall- great example of the look of two eras and the ability for manufacturers to embrace their history and popularity for a new generation!
