Delightful, fanciful Original Vintage Mid-Century Ad taken from an Autumn, 1949 issue of the elegant and chic Harper's Bazaar Magazine. Wonderful artwork by Bobri presents the very latest handbag fashions from Koret in the new shade of Red Cabbage- as envisioned in a fanciful image painted by the best possible source- a smiling alligator also in the shade of Red Cabbage. Ad describes this shade as the newest aptly-named blue-red- it resembles magenta and is perfection to add lustre to the latest de luxe fashions for spring 1949. Ad is in excellent condition measures 10 x 14 and is a lovely example of the fantasy of the Mid-Century when many illustrators combined the Surrealist movement with the fashion world and came up with magic imagery such as this one. Will be an unusual and fun addition to any collection or decor.
