Description:
1947 Vintage Mid-Century Fashion Ad for the Onondaga Silk Company. Taken from a 1947 issue of Vogue Magazine, this is a gloriously Technicolor bright original ad featuring a chic young woman admiring a gallery full of modern art attired in her Tahitian-inspired Onondaga silk- as much a graceful modern mode as any painting she peruses. This gown is the height of post-war glamour long lean lines, brilliant fabric, sweeteheart neckline smart matching elbow-length gloves. A lovely and rare ad- artwork is credited to Julien Binford, Doris Rosenthal, Waldo Pierce, Dong Kingman,Willaim Palmer and Gladys Rockmore Davis- the print of the gown is entitled Jardin aux Lilas by artist Waldo Pierce. Simply an elegant example of the best that late forties design and artistry had to offer. Ad is in excellent, crisp clean condition- just a wonderful now as it was in 1947- a grat addtition ot any collection, fine example to set in your home office or and place else tht needs a tocuh of magic glamour!

I offer USPS and also Ups depending upon buyers choice. Most items that measure under 12 x16 can fit easily into a priority flat rate box for around $10.00 contingent upon weight.
