Description:
This is a FANTASTIC chair. I know it looks like it has seen better days, but really and truly it is in great condition. It does need a makeover, but simply cosmetic. She is really ready for someone to give her a makeover and start a new full life.
The chair itself is in excellent condition, no structural problems, very strong and in excellent working order. The cover is where you will need to perform some work. Right now it is stuck in the 1980s with that peach fabric. As you can see it has also been recently slipcovered as a quick fix which is a shame because the lines of the chair are so fantastic.
The back is nice and low and beautifully rounded with a slightly backwards pitch. The arms are low and wide and roll over the sides. There is a pair of sweet decorative wooden pad feet on the front and simple back legs and feet. The seat cushion is detached and Darn It if that cushion isn't darn heavy. I am not sure what it is stuffed with but it is heavy and sturdy!
Year: I am dating this to circa 1930's or 1940's based on styling and construction. I know it is an antique because my mother purchased it as an antique or vintage piece and put in my room when I was in high school which was 1984.
Dimensions: 33" deep, 32" tall, 34" wide at widest point at arms, approx. 18" seat height.
