This was acquired out of a Central Ohio area previous estate, home or sale. Please take notice the bottom center area or just below the bottom drawer and above are a couple of dirt spots! This was not cleaned off before taking the photos. However this has been cleaned and taken care of since in other words it is not a damage! WOW!!!!! Great flame burl Mahogany front 1940s Chippendale Chest on chest style Dresser or Chest or Highboy! As you can see in the photos below this has the typical Chippendale Claw and Ball feet to enhance the case. This has all the original very fancy heavy brass hardware still intact! The top and 3rd drawer (see photo below) are divided. We did not see a makers name but we think this was made by the Drexel Furniture Company. This is 53 ¼ inches tall, 36 inches wide and 21 inches front to back. The top and bottom drawers are approx. 31 ¾ inches wide, 17 inches front to back and have depths such as 3 ¼, 4, 5 and 6 inches deep. THIS PIECE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION FOR IT'S AGE. But, if I was this old, I would have a few bumps and bruises on me as well. Of course, you're not buying a new piece, and this item, if it has original varnish, could need a cleaning to the winning bidder's liking.
