It has been nearly 70 years since the 1939 New York World’s Fair, and from this spectacular fair, with total attendance of over 44 million people, we have a gem of a souvenir.
This mechanical pencil manufactured by Wearever, is in excellent condition. There are 3 architectural marvels from the Fair depicted on the barrel: The Trylon and Perishere, the Administration Building, and the Carrier Air Conditioner Building. The barrel also states, “Official Souvenir New York World’s Fair 1939.”
The black cap at the top of the barrel removes so the 9 mm lead can be loaded. Give the point a turn, and you are ready to write.
