Absolutely Gorgeous Original Vintage Deco Ad taken from the pages of a 1939 issue of Esquire Magazine. Done with great charm and brilliant color by noted photographer Anton Bruhel this ad has all the glamour ease and luxury of the Art Deco Era. Done in a vivid color spectrum the image features a bewitching brunette reclining on a sky blue chaise lounge with a moss green plush carpet resembling a fine verdant lawn- her layers of pale pink to fuchsia chiffon skirts are raised just enough to reveal her beautiful legs wearing Real Silk Hosiery. Glorious color graphic also features Asian-style lettering for the words Real Silk and a letterhead with the company's silk mill located in Indianapolis, Ind. Anton Bruehl was among the finest of the early fashion and commercial photographers who gave his images a certain style and flourish which made them seem more like paintings. At the time the majority of color photography had a weird unrealistic cast to it- he helped to elevate it and often worked for leading glamour rags such as Vogue and Harper's Bazaar. Wonderful example of the best that color photography had to offer in the waning years of the Dazzling Deco Era! Ad measures 11 x 15- condition is bright crisp and sharp in general.
