Joan and Norma are seen here both at the height of their amazing popularity and at the sublime peak of their individual careers- each sporting the newest velvety-smooth shades of Max Factor's newest lipsticks! Glorious image of the two rivals- note that Crawford's head is positioned slightly below Shearer so that she is actually looking up at her- yet with a suspiciously watchful look in the corner of her eye.
