A trio of flappers gossips over the teacups in a splendid array of fashionable lounging frocks and pyjamas- beautiful use of color and texture- note the luxury and fun of the image all typical of the works of artist John La Gatta.
La Gatta created fashionable and amusing images of a large variety of beautiful women during the Deco era for illustrated story pages in famous magazines such as the Post, fashion illustrations for top publications and also poster and billboard art. His work epitomizes American Art Deco. This cover art is original and does have some of the slight wear of magazine cover illustration. It measures 11 x 15- the corners are a little brown and there is a slight tear above the T in The- original postmark is still affixed at the top. A beautiful vintage gem of illustration to be enjoyed for years to come.
