Description:
This is a wonderful and rare, solid 14kt white gold Elgin wrist watch c. 1930's with lovely gold deco numbers, fancy lugs and 8 diamonds. This 17 jewel, unadjusted watch is just lovely and the black dial sets off the white gold, highly stylized art deco numbers and 8 diamonds beautifully. It is clearaly marked 14kt on the back and inside of the case. The movement says, Elgin (stylized deco) 889. As you can see from the photos, the dial is absolutely gorgeous and flawless. Very elegant and unusual design for the period.
CONDITION: It is in very good condition, but would most probably benefit from a cleaning because I was told it hadn't had one in a while. The dial is stunning and flawless. It retains it's original leather wrist band as well.
SIZE: This watch is 40mm from lug to lug and 35mm wide to crown.
