Divinely Dazzling Original Vintage Deco Ad taken from a May, 1930 issue of Fortune Magazine. Dodge Motor Boats created an incredible array of marvelously chic sleek and elegant ads seen in exclusive magazines such as Fortune during the early days of the Depression. This rare ad was created by sublime artist Edward A. Wilson and is enhanced by being done on the back inside cover of the magazine- the higher stock paper quality lends it a gorgeous note of color. Beautiful and serenely chic scene of the new mahogany planked 40 H.P. Motor boat capable of reaching 25 mph the Dodge Motor Boat was a superb example of Deco Artistry- with a staggering price-tag of $945.00. The Dodge Motor Boat was sleekly moderne in design this is the five-passenger 16 foot runabout- note the lines and the chrome trim which is reflected in the dappled sunlight. The Dodge was akin to the new Cadillac La Salle- note the wonderful setting which seems completely removed and unruffled by news of the recent infamous crash of Wall Street. Ad is in good condition overall with some very slight wear to the edges and a fantastic image of the Beau Monde circa 1930!
