Simply Lovely Original Vintage Deco Ad taken from the pages of an October, 1929 issue of Good Housekeeping Magazine. Flapper drifts perfectly off to dreamland as her new Westclox alarm clock helps guard her sleep. Glimmering moonlight shines through to reveal the simple beauty of slumber- unknown artist employs a perfect palette to suggest a restful evening pale aqua and deep sapphire. The color revolution had by 1929 reached every aspect of modern living including the smallest ornamented detail such as the practical alarm clock. Westclox offered three models in crackled old rose, blue or green aside from the more traditional and prosaic nickel plated model not seen in the ad. Wonderful looking image of a rested flapper- note the tossed curls and pink healthy looking cheeks. Ad measures 9 x 13 and is in crisp clean bright condition overall. Will be darling on display in any boudoir!
