Description:
1929 Dazzling Vintage Deco Ad- Fashionable Flappers Marvel at the Silence of New Top-=Loading Motor General Electric Refrigerator Frank Bensing Artwork. Absolutely Wonderful Original Vintage Deco Ad taken from the pages of a March, 1929 issue of Ladies Home Journal. Smart, sophisticated and sublimely chic duo of flappers marvel at the silence of the top-loading motor model G.E. Refrigerator. Artist Frank Bensing is adept at painting a perfect picture of gracious living during the style-conscious twenties- note that while the refrigerator is gleaming sparkling white the actual kitchen has diamond patterned flooring in terra-cotta and dark green with walls in green and orange tiling- both flappers wear the sheerest and shortest of skirts, high heels with the visitor still retaining her smart little cloche as she sits and listens for the silence of the motor. Ad of the Deco period attempted to glorify the American housewife by reminding her of how intelligent beautiful stylish, resourceful and informed she was. Great color graphic is the epitome of Deco chic. Ad measures 11 x 15- in crisp clean bright condition overall. Will really brighten up your own decor!
