Description: This is a Print of Hugo Meynell,Dated 1927,Published by Ernest R. Gee at 85 E. 49TH Street in New York City. This is a copy from of a original Meynell Painting, I presune. The Original Hugo Meynell (June 1735-Dec. 1808) is generally seen and regarded as the father of modern fox hunting, became Master of Fox Hounds for the Quorn Hunt in Leicestershire in 1753 and continued in that role for another 47 years. The hunt is so called after Meynell's Home Quorndon Hall in North Leicestershire. Hugo Anthony Meynell, Grandson was born March 23,1936. He was educated at Eaton, and Kings College at the University of Cambridge where he obtained his PhD and is listed in the Canadian Who's Who. He was elected a member of the Royal Society of Canada in 1993.
