Beautiful Original Vintage Rare Deco Era Life Magazine Cover Art done by Benda for the November 12, 1925 issue of Life Magazine. W.T. Benda created lovely images of great charm and glamour such as this one of an elegantly attired flapper with soft gold lights in her hair, exotic plumage and a somewhat risque gilded strapless frock- the background is done in stark black and deep vibrant yellow- title is done in red. Wonderful use of color texture and overall luxury- this is an ideal beauty for the Deco Era. Benda was a New York Grenwitch Village bohemian who specialized in theatrical images and also created exquisite masks for stage productions. This cover art measures 9 x 12 and is in good bright overall condition some white showing where is was at some time possibly removed from a bound volume. Will be stunning on display or make a wonderful gift!
