1920 Alluring Vintage Deco Ad- Fashionable Flapper and Maid Rely on Lux Soap Flakes for Lovely Lingerie. Exceptional Bright and Charming Original Early Vintage Deco Ad taken from the pages of a March, 1920 issue of Ladies Home Journal Magazine. Utterly Exquisite in it's lavish use of color and detailing this is a wonderful example of promoting a product with style and elegance. Unknown artist has created a dazzling graphic image surrounded by wonderful background details- rolls of paisley waves curling about a spilling box of Lux Soap Flakes at the bottom, divinely dressed women in rainbow hued lingerie modeling at the top. The center of attention is the delicately shaded illustration of a sophisticated looking blonde glancing over scads of bright-hued immacualtely clean lingerie and stockings assisted by a pert chich maid in black uniform and cap. Note the fabulous array of tints and textures seen here everything form chartreuse to lavender! Ad is exceptional measures 12 x 17 and is in good overall condition with a bit of wear to the extreme edges and darkening at the bottom. Will be a show-stopper on display with any decor! Note the influence of Japanese art and the nod to new decorating trends from Europe pre-dating the actual advent of the Art Deco movement but definitely in keeping with it's tone and brilliance!
