The book traces the history of Mechanicsburg, Ohio, from it's beginnings and how it got it's name from a chief mechanic in a company of citizen soldiers fighting against the British, and his lady love, a Shawnee Indian Princess. It's a really great story! The book has no torn or missing pages and it has common cover wear. There is a 1917 American Red Cross Christmas Seal on the inside front cover and the former owner's name is there as well.
