Description: Handsome tortoise and antique silver-mounted double inkstand. Stand has four silver ball feet and two glass inkwells with hinged silver lids. Inkstand measures 10" x 6 3/4" and inkwells measure 2 1/4" square. Inkstand is fully hallmarked on the base, both parts of the hinged lids and on the silver inkwell lining with matching marks for the London assay office, the lion passant for sterling silver, date letter "s" for 1913 and maker's mark MBA.
