Description: 1910 Racially Themed 8 Page Music Sheet - Music and Lyrics by Women! This 8 page sheet has several outstanding characteristics. Firstly it is a reminscence of a lullabye sung by the author's Mammy, a children's tale put to music in dialect. Both the music and the lyrics were composed by women (Laura Spencer Portor and Harriet Ware, respectively) which is extraordinary for the era. The cover art is wonderful, the pictures don't do it justice. The condition of the sheet is super! There is the expected age toning and a little soil on the blank back page. It was printed on quality, heavier than usual paper and has been stored with care for over 100 years! It measures 9.25 x 12 ".
