Description: 1908 Radiantly Lovely Original Vintage Edwardian Era Tinted Pin-Up Photo Birdnesting Reutlinger Paris. Absolutely Enchanting Original Rare Edwardian Era Nymph/Pin Up Tinted Photo taken from a Spring, 1908 issue of Burr-McIntosh Monthly Magazine. Deliciously light and enchantingly rare Edwardian tinted photo portrait of unknown adorable model is simply entitled Birdnesting and was created by the Reutlinger Studios of Paris. Giving off a decidedly playful yet slightly Pre-Rapaelite air this lovely maiden with long streaming locks is a genuine wood nympy type nature girl pin-up of the elegant Art Nouveau period- unencumbered by corsets and loosely draped in crisp sun-gleaming white- unknown photographer has captured the laughing grace of her lovely countenance, enhancing it just a bit with pink tinted cheeks and glowing alabaster skin-tones. Burr-MacIntosh Monthly was an American magazine conceived during the height of the Art Nouveau Era which endeavored during it's brief history to present the best brightest and most incredible artistic photos, prints and fiction- championing the new novel form of photography. This is a marvelous moment captured on film and crafted to give great pleasure to the viewer. Attributed merely to the studio and not the photographer it is a unique testament to the elegant artistry of this by-gone era. Whoever this divine creature is she embodies the newly found freedoms of the 20th century woman unabashedly beautiful, lithely athletic and independent in attitude. Image is done on heavy glossy stock paper- and carefully removed from an issue of the magazine to perfectly preserve it's beauty. Measures 8 x 13- contains the original three- hole punch on one margin- as the magazine was done in folio fashion. A uniquely lovely iamge which will vastly enhance any space it occupies! Condition is crisp and bright overall- a mere scan cannot do justice to the delicacy and charm of the tints!
