It's Baker's Chocolate that makes the fudge blithely declares this peppy ad form 1906 featuring a group of young folks enjoying the popular chafing-dish treat of fudge. Then as now people loved to gather around for festive occasions enjoying chocolate treats- chafing-dish parties were tremendously appealing and popular for adolescents of the day because of the ease and portability of the chafing-dish itself making fudge became a national pastime! Ad is taken from an unknown magazine of 1906- possibly Scribner's or Harpers- lovely color great example of interior decor of this opulent age- note the bright Turkish throw pillows and the simple arts-and-crafts style of the table and linen tablecloth. This will make a wonderful addition to your cozy breakfast nook or a sweet conversation piece.
