Description:
1905 Vintage Art Nouveau Color Print Babyhood by artist Bernard Rosenmeyer. Beautiful softly charming and rare color plate done for a 1905 issue of Delineator Magazine. Artist Rosenmeyer created a wonderful set of illustrations done is softly pastel shades with a quaint illumined feeling of the three ages of childhood- this one is babyhood perfectly represented as a stroll through the park with a pair of very stylish babies in thier twin wicker carrages, big sister at the hand of the nursemaid and lovely ladies enjoying the shady-nook of a nearby bench. Wonderful artwork was often contributed to top-quality fashion and pattern magazines such as Delineator to appeal to a largely middle-class female readership. This is an elegant and delightfully enchanting image of a slower-paced long-gone era. Measures 8 x 12- done of thick glossy paper- the colors looks incredible in person. Will be a marvelous decorative accent piece- and appealing to many viewers. Condition is crisp clean and bright in person.
