Description: A most elegant silver child's cup made by Williams (Birmingham) Ltd. (maker's mark WBLD) in Birmingham (anchor), 1904 (date letter "e"). The cup stands on a spreading foot with gadroon border and has an angled loop handle with beading and acanthus accents. Except for a plain band framed by scrolls circling the piece, the cup is chased overall with scrolling leafy vines on a stippled ground. Also marked with the lion passant (sterling), this marvelous child's cup is offered by Chancery Lane Antiques for $630.
