1904 Vintage Edwardian Travel Ad- Bathing Beauty enjoys Jamaica via United Fruit Company Steamship Lines. Wonderful graphic of a pretty Gibson-Girl type frolicing on the sands of Jamaica on the palm-lined white-sand beaches of this tropical paradise. United Fruit Company was one of the first "bargain" travel companies which offered swift travel to the middle classes by ocean to destinations such as the newly popular Jamaica and Cuba. This lovely image by an unknown artist gives one the sense of adventure and relaxation afforded by ocean liners of the day- a nineteen day trip with all expenses including hotels and sight-seeing tours cost as little as $85.00. Ad is taken from an issue of Good Housekeeping Magazine, in excellent bright condition and measures 8 x 10. This will make a fantastic addition to any collection and add a touch of quaint charm capable of enhancing any decor! Simple wonderful in person.
