Description: A fine American Chippendale cherry chest on chest, New York, Circa 1770. The uppercase with a bold crown molded cornice above four long drawers with brass pulls. The drawers are flanked by fluted chamferred corners. The lower case with three drawers and a gadrooned skirt over strong claw and ball feet on the front and ogee bracket feet on the rear. The chest is in excellent condition with fine color and patina. The feet are all original and retain the original blocking. The hardware is a later replacement. Dimensions: Height 79 1/2", Depth 23", Width 45 1/2".
