Description: Horse Shoe Bracelet Circa. 1980 France Rarely one comes across a piece of 18K gold estate jewelry that has it all...and this is one of them. The design, execution and materials are exquisite. Firstly, the basic horse shoe. The 18K gold is inscribed "dieu vous garde" which translates to " may God watch over you" The bracelet is 1/4 inch wide at its narrowest. 1/2 inch wide at its widest. The opening measures 2 1/2 x 2 1/4 inches which is appropriate for small and medium wrists. The bracelet opens on an invisible spring hinge. On the horse shoe, for good luck, there are 7 precious stones on each side. 6 old mine cut diamonds, 4 rubies and 4 sapphires. The diamonds have been tested with a diamond tester. The rubies and sapphires tested with refractive index liquid. The diamonds are a uniform F color VVS1 in clarity. Total diamond weight is approximately 1.20 carats. The 4 sapphires are approximately .60 carats and the 4 rubies are approximately .60 carats. Attached to this wonderful horse shoe is a shamrock, also in 18K rose gold. All gold tested with 18K acid. The shamrock has 12 rubies with an approximate weight of 2.0 carats. These wonderfully matched rubies have also been tested with refractive index liquid. The shamrock measures approximately 1 1/4 inches x 1 1/4 inches. The outer circumference of the horse shoe is 7 3/4 inches. The inner circumference of the horse shoe is 6 1/2 inches. Total weight is 67.2 grams, 43.2 dwt. This is the finest gold bangle on the market today! The intrinsic value of the bracelet and charm are in excess of $10,000.00.
