Description:
Late 1890s reed rolled arm style wicker armchair. Compact ladies size. It has nice flowing continuous rolled arms and 4 sided scalloped apron. Brass cap feet & tap in cane seat with a solid wood frame. Solidly woven and very sturdy. Additional measurements: seat 18" deep x 19.5" wide. This chair has been restored in our wicker repair shop. We had many layers of old paint stripped off and restored it back to its stain finish. There are nail holes on the top of the seat around the caning. At one time someone upholstered the seat instead of replacing the cane. These are noticable holes.
Our wicker repair shop restores both antique and new wicker pieces, including all types of repair, painting or staining and wicker upholstery. The Collected Works, Wilmette, IL.
