Description:
This is a Frederick Elkington sterling silver goblet which rests on a raised base that measures approximately 1.19 inches. The total height of the extraordinary pineapple embossed goblet is 10.43 inches. It measures approximately 4.3 inches across the lip of the cup. This sterling goblet weighs 13.09 troy ounces. The hallmarks on the cup are: "FE" - Frederick Elkington, the duty mark, the lion passant, the anchor - Birmingham, England, and the date mark "P". The combination of the date and duty mark dates the goblet up to the first of May of 1890. On the underside of the base one finds the registration number 8890, Elkington & Co., the duty mark and the date letter "P". This goblet will be a beautiful wine cup or christening goblet.
