Description: BURTON BROOK FARM ANTIQUES presents three antique circa 1890's portrait plates painted and signed by M. Morrison. These exquiste plates are 8" diameter and each fitted with wire hangers. The plates have a reticulated edge with gilding. They have an impressed TK maker mark on backs. Images of this available. They are in fine condition with very little wear to the gilding. One plate has a 1/16" hair firing line in the outer reticulated rim/ This was in the manufacture. Image available. These plates are pristine for their era and very beautiful. Four 1890 portrait plates of this quality are in the Flager Museum on display in Palm Beach from the personal collection of Henry Flagler, a leading figure of America's Gilded Age and a founding partner of Standard Oil. His winter residence was Whitehall, now the Flagler museum.
