Description:
This Japanese inspired Sardine Box is of the Argenta Majolica series Wedgwood is famous for. All these designs came in a variety of colors as well. Some collectors focus only on this type of Majolica and for good reasons, a display of Wedgwood Argenta is very striking! (Please see Karmason/Stacke p 81 for more info). The box is in near mint condition. Aside from the normal staining to the inside of the bottom part there is a tiny nibble on the bottom rim of the lid. The apparent small chip on the edge of the bottom part is a factory flaw. The glaze is unblemished, no scratches. The dimensions are 8"w x 7"d x 3.5"h. Please click on the photos to enlarge for a better look. Insured & tracked shipping to all points in North America will be $32.00 approx. Much more to overseas. Canadians will pay applicable taxes. Thank you for visiting & please check out the other Argenta Sardine Box I'm currently offering.
