Description: Antique Ridgways Staffordshire large covered cheese keeper in the Old Derby pattern Floral pattern has vibrant colors in Cobalt blue and deep orange with butterflies and gold decoration Both pieces are marked with the early version quiver & bow trademark which dates this to 1872 - 1878. Top cover is in excellent condition; has Cobalt blue twisted branch handle - no chips Bottom piece has some tiny nicks in the glaze along edges and all over crazing on the cheese surface with some discoloring as shown; glaze is shiny even in this area. There is one very light hairline on the bottom rim, very faint and hardly worth mentioning, could not capture it in the photo 4 pounds 12 ounces
